Video. Encoded in your browser
Free app preview video maker
Drop a screen recording into a phone frame, add your headline, and export an MP4 that meets Apple's app preview spec on the first try. Encoding runs locally with WebCodecs, so the recording of your unreleased app never leaves your machine
Free forever. No account. No watermark
Two ways to use it
Designed previews, or a straight conform
-
The designed preview
Your recording plays inside a device frame on a designed artboard, with headlines and tap hints around it. Export the whole composition as an MP4, the same way you export screenshots as PNGs
-
The store ready conform
Already have footage you like? The conform mode takes your raw capture and re-encodes it to 886 by 1920 at 30 fps in H.264, so the size, frame rate and codec checks stop bouncing your upload. Length and content rules stay your job, 15 to 30 seconds of in app footage
-
Both, locally
Encoding happens in your browser through WebCodecs. Nothing is uploaded, which matters when the app in the recording is not public yet

The other store
Google Play works differently
Google Play does not take a video upload at all. Your preview video is a YouTube link on the listing, with the 1024 by 500 feature graphic as its cover image
- Link a single video, not a playlist or channel, set to public or unlisted
- Ads and monetization must be off or Google Play will not show it
- Landscape and portrait both work, match your app's orientation
- Only the first 30 seconds autoplays, muted, so front load the good part
- At least 80 percent of the video must show the real app experience
You can still design here. Export your composition as MP4, upload it to YouTube, and design the feature graphic in the same project
Questions
Fair questions, straight answers
What size does an App Store app preview need to be?
886 by 1920 for modern iPhones in portrait, 1200 by 1600 for iPads, at up to 30 fps in H.264 or ProRes 422 HQ with a 500MB limit. The store ready conform here targets the iPhone spec automatically
How long can an app preview be?
Between 15 and 30 seconds, up to three per localization. They appear before your screenshots on the product page
Can I show hands using the app?
No. Apple requires previews to show only content from within the app, captured on device. A person holding the phone or fingers tapping the screen gets rejected
Does video export work in every browser?
Video export uses WebCodecs, which Chrome, Edge and the desktop app support. On browsers without it the export stops with a clear message. PNG screenshot export works everywhere
How do Google Play preview videos work?
Google Play does not take a video upload. You link a YouTube video on your listing, set to public or unlisted with ads disabled. Both orientations are supported and only the first 30 seconds autoplays, muted
Is there a watermark?
No. Exports are clean, in every mode, always. There is no paid tier holding features back
